Nation of Pussies pt II

This one goes out to the "indepedant" voters who couldn't be bothered to think about what a Democrat party win would mean to the enemy.

Hi Sgt. Ted.

I noticed your comment in the Mudville Gazette today and had to tell you not to give up hope. I'm a recovering liberal democrat (been a Dem all my life and raised my kids to be the same). We were uncertain going into Iraq, hated Bush (BDS ran rampant at our house), etc. etc.
About a year ago, I began to question myself. I won't go into the process, but I do give many thanks to Buck over at Exile in Portales for giving me the support and education I was sorely needing at that time in order to complete my conversion!

Now? I think Bush is the best president we've had since Reagan. I want to punch Murtha in the face (and this is coming from a former peacenik). I've been rethinking all my former brainwashed beliefs and I'm planning to vote Republican for the first time in my life because every single dem I see now makes me sick to my stomach.
Now I read milblogs and Iraq the Model for inspiration.
Also, my father is a WWII vet (and Republican) and my husband served in the navy during Vietnam. This might have helped, too.

My boys haven't come this far yet. The oldest is almost there, the youngest (still in college) is at least questioning. One of their friends came over the other night and perfunctorily jeered at the Republicans on CSPAN during the debate. I calmly explained what the vote was about and he looked surprised. He and my oldest went out to lunch and when they returned, the friend shook his fist at the tv (still on) and exclaimed, "Stupid, stupid Democrats!" My son had given him some background.

Just want you to know that maybe not all is lost yet. There may be more like me than you (or the Dems!) think, especially as time goes on. I just hope it won't be too late.

PS - I love Celtic music, too.
